Anyone have experience with Nokian Rotiiva tires?

I was looking for some new tires for my truck and came across these for only a little over $100 per tire. It seems really low for Nokian tires, but I don't know. I know we had a set of Hakkapeliitta snow tires for one of the NV200 vans at my last job and they were great. These are just all-seasons but I don't plan on driving the truck in the snow much. I just want to get rid of the dreadful General Grabbers it has now.

I have studded winter  Hakkas. My wife has the dual season tires on her Juke. Never used any of their all season tires. Best winter tires I’ve ever had though.

Can’t speak to any Nokain tires other than their snow ones that you are already familiar with from the work truck . We do have Grabbers on our Jeep and loath them. We are moving to Cooper AT3's, which we have had good luck with on other vehicles in the past. They are rather affordable and durable and may be worth a look.

The ones on my truck are old and due to be replaced, but I've never been a fan of General Tires. They just seem to always wear out prematurely, and the ride quality isn't so hot. Same with Kelly tires.

I don’t know about this tire in particular, but I have run Nokian Zline A/S tires and they are fantastic. I’d certainly give these  a good look if I was in the market for truck tires.

It’s hard to beat at that price, so I think I’m going to pull the trigger on it.

I was super impressed with the Nokians. The fact that they were $100 a corner sure did hurt! I’d put another set on in a heartbeat. Update the post if you get the Rotiivas installed. My dad is looking for tires in the next 1000 miles are so and these could be a great option for his truck!

Look into the Continental Terrain Contsct AT. Good blend of AT and Highway characteristics, and shouldn’t be too pricey either. Nokia’s is only  really known for its All Weather and winter tires in Canada, and most of the reviews I’ve read on they regular stuff suggests your better served elsewhere.

These Nokians are all-season, and I do live in a state where it snows frequently. I’m still leaning toward them, given how good the other ones were .

I wasn’t terribly impressed with the last Continentals I had which were on my Fiat 500, especially in the wet. These are also about $160 more per set than the Nokians. I appreciate the suggestion, though! I’ll look around a bit more before I make a decision.

There are rotiiva at, rotiiva at plus and rotiiva ht. The rotiiva at plus are aten ply. These  are the only tires I will run on any of my pickups. They are so smooth and quiet that you can’t believe they are all terrain. They last a long time last set I had wore in 76k  and they were the best tire for the money. In snow they are so good on rain they tend to spin a lil bit if you are heavy footed. My favorite tire.

Which nokian are you looking at rotiiva at or ht. The ht is a highway all season and the at is an all terrain. I recommend the at they are really smooth and quiet. Never ever have I had a better tire. They last long miles and they do not chop or get loud like cooper Toyo or bfg

I’m looking at the Rotiiva AT. I'm glad to see they last awhile; I don't drive my truck that much because I have a work vehicle so they should last a few years for me.

I’m on my 3rd set of Grabber ATs, 2 sets of AT2s, 1 set of ATXs. They’ve all been amazing. 30-40k miles without issue, good ride for an AT, almost no noise.

Kelly tires I will agree with though, they are junk.

The set that is on it right now are dreadful, sorry I could have made that clearer.

Are they just terrible because they’re ready to be replaced?

They are. I knew it would need new ones when I bought it. I’ve not been a fan of General Tires, though. They just seem to not last as long as other comparable tires. I was going to look at Mastercraft Coursers because I’ve had good luck with them on Ford E-series vans but they are more expensive.  I really would like to try these Nokians.

I’ve had 2 sets on the van, which I love to death. They are amazing in any conditions, they’re quiet, they ride nice/handle well, and they make 35-40k miles without issue.

I’ve had another set on our truck years ago and loved them on there as well. I think I got 30k out of them on the truck and that was with a bad habit of doing brake stands.....

I’ve had a couple sets of Mastercraft Coursers, they wear TERRIBLY. The ATs I had lasted 10k miles, the MTs made 5k. I will never buy Mastercraft again. Same goes for Goodyear, terrible tires. My only experience with Nokians was on my Ma’s old truck, I wouldn’t have paid money for them, let me put it that way.

For me the Grabbers have lasted longer than any other ATs have ever lasted, stayed quiet/smooth longer, and seemed to ride better.

That’s weird, the MasterCraft Coursers I used at my last job routinely made it 55-60k and did great in the snow. We did rotate them every oil change (5k), but other than that nothing special.

Not trying to rip up your choice, merely giving my experiences with tires, I’ve bought enough of them brand new and ran them through the wringer.

There’s a quite a few tires you couldn’t pay me to put on my vehicles, Goodyear/Kelly/Starfire/Nokian are just a handful. Grabbers/BFGs/Cooper ST ST Pro/Bridgestone have always netted good results for me.

End of the day, buy what you like, hopefully they work out for you.
